Cinque Terre

...is named for the five villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore which
together with the coastline and the surrounding hillsides are all part of Cinque Terre National Park
and is a UNESCO World Heritage SiteWe took 7 km of stunning coastal path between Corniglia and Monterosso. Unfortunatelly, Via del'Amore between Riomaggiore and Manarola was closed because of the construction works
so our first plan to walk all 9 km of trails failed.

The small villages are old and charming but the walk itself it took my heart away. Two of them actually,
my hollow muscle that pumps blood (yes, it was too hot with a lot of steps) and my other heart,
my sparkling and elusive heart that makes all the beautiful reasons for the first, biological one.
The heart that makes me grateful for the glittering sea, the ancient olive trees, the beautiful views,
that brings me peace and makes me feel I can make it all better.
Cinque Terre, it is really that kind of place.

( + an amazing focaccia and gelato;))

  3. Thank u! And I can imagine it being pretty beautiful in the late autumn too when there is less people on the paths and on the seacoast and air is calmer and more peaceful. It doesn't sound bad as a new plan,-)

  5. I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I've seriously stared at the picture of the man diving off the dock for quite a while... for a couple of times now. I can't even describe how wonderful it makes me feel. Excellent shot.

  7. I honestly can't get over that diving picture. It's been over a year! When I'm rich and have a bigger home, can I buy a big print of it off you?
